Vintage 2021
Harvest 2021 officially kicked off on March 1st and finished on April 7th. This vintage we were able to take a very hands-off approach – the only thing we really needed to consider was when to harvest, based on the flavour and acidity balance in the fruit.
Vintage 2020
A harvest like no other before. We banded together (at safe distance) and worked around the clock in ‘bubbles’ to get the fruit into the winery in a safe and timely manner.
Vintage 2019
Harvest 2019 will go down as one of the driest and lowest cropping years we have seen. Our Waihopai Valley vineyards had mixed fortunes during flowering which resulted in some varieties having low berry numbers and small crops.
Vintage 2017
Vintage 2017 was a challenge for sure. The weather leading into harvest was good, and all varieties looked good with less stress from the drought conditions leading into 2015 and 2016.
