We don’t like to brag, but… actually we do!
Here are just 5 amazing things to do on your next visit to our neck of the wood.
One of the finest and most diverse, single track coastal cycle trails in New Zealand.
Accessed by boat, you start your day in the historic reserve of Ship's Cove. Steeped in early New Zealand history, this stunner of a ride is eye-wateringly beautiful no matter where from. You can do anything from 1 to 3 days, and if you’re keen on water you can add kayaking to the trip too.
Bring your ride or hire it on site.
This course offers something for golfers of all stature... and spectators too.
Set right amongst working vineyards, there’s plenty to imbibe with the eye and the palate. Spread mostly across flat and rolling grounds, there are plenty of creeks, ponds and trees to catch the inattentive.
If you slice or hook it’s not hard to go out of bounds as in some places the grapes run right up to the fairway. Add to that a well appointed pro-shop and you won’t leave empty handed.
Considered by our team the best in the region, they make a Macadamia Butter Toffee Crunch to die for!
Everything is made on site with the freshest ingredients. This makes for a fabulously flavoursome experience you don’t get with shop brought chocolates.
Set up like a cellar door, you can watch the chocolates being made right in front of you while you taste samples.
There’s nothing like it.
Feel like resting your eyes from our stunning scenery? Exercise the mind?

Travel to a time when the harshness and cruelty of the war in the trenches contrasted with the chivalry and bravado of the war in the air. The rarity and beauty of these machines can be appreciated by all. Exhibits include a Curtiss MF Flying Boat, the Italian time capsule Caproni CA.22 and colourful WWI Fokker Triplanes.
Look out! Red Baron at 2 O’clock!
From early September to Mid January, things start to heat up in our town. And after you’ve spent your day cycling, golfing, hiking or fishing in the heat, you need ice cream. Strawberry Ice cream! Head to Hedgerows Hydroponic Strawberry Farm!! Marlborough's long sunny days make sweet, premium strawberries flourish. And no one does it more sustainably than they do. They use ten times less water than soil grown strawbs!
Their strawberries are blended with the finest local ice cream (or frozen yoghurt) for a refreshing fruity treat. Irresistible on a hot day.
And of course, you can just eat their strawberries too!
